Please note:-

The size of the zip describes the length of the zip chain
The cloth tape always is around 25mm (1") longer at the top and 20mm (3/4") longer at the bottom
The tape is about 23mm wide (just under 1")

The most important thing about an invisible zip is the colour of the zip puller. If the zip is fitted properly, then by and large, the zip puller is the only visible feature when fitted to the garment.
