Iron On Cotton Mending Repair Tape 35mm Jeans Clothes Denim Jacket Patch

Description

Iron-On Cotton Mending Repair Tape – 35mm Width

Product Overview
• Quality Assurance: All tape is measured and cut fresh from a factory-fresh roll and fully inspected for optimal backing glue coverage before dispatch.
• Application Type: Iron-on, heat-activated adhesive backing. Fully washable once properly bonded.
• Fabric Composition: Premium cotton mending tape (Note: The "Denim" option is made from actual, authentic denim fabric).
• Width: 35mm. Perfect for reinforcing worn fabric, mending clean tears, and fixing small holes.

Step-by-Step Instructions

We highly recommend testing a small piece of tape on a scrap or hidden piece of your material first before completing your main fix.

1. Cut away any loose, frayed threads from the edge of the damage and turn your garment inside out.
2. Bring the torn edges neatly together and press them flat with your iron.
3. Cut your repair tape to the required length and round off the sharp corners with scissors (rounded corners resist peeling much better).
4. Place the tape shiny side down directly over the tear.
5. Cover the patch with a thin pressing cloth to protect your garment.
6. Set your iron temperature to the "Cotton" setting.
7. Important Technique: Press firmly straight down over the tape for 15-22 seconds. Do not push the iron back and forth like you are ironing laundry! It is steady, direct heat that melts and activates the glue, not friction.
8. Allow the garment to cool completely, then check the edges to ensure a strong, flat bond.

A Note from the Shop: Will This Tape Work for Your Project?

I have been selling this mending tape on eBay for over 10 years. To save you time and money, I want to be entirely honest about what this tape can and cannot do. Please read these guidelines from my years of experience before buying:

• High-Friction Areas: Do not use this tape to repair high-touch or high-movement areas, such as between the legs on jeans or right on the point of an elbow. The constant pulling will break the bond. For these spots, please look at the denim, corduroy, leather, or suede patches available in my shop (and I highly recommend sewing them down for security).
• Seams & Uneven Surfaces: Do not try to iron this tape directly across a thick seam, and do not use it to repair a split seam. It will not adhere properly to uneven layers.
• Extent of Damage: If the tear is massive or looks like it genuinely needs a professional tailor, this tape will not be strong enough on its own.
• Our Guarantee: If you follow the instructions down to the letter and still encounter an issue, please get in touch. Every cut is inspected, but if you happen to get a faulty length, I am always happy to sort it out and arrange a refund.
