The Postman who collects my mail, often asks me for a Jean button because his waist keeps on growing.
He either loses the button from his Royal Mail issue trousers (actually shorts) or he needs to accommodate his extra weight
Insert the nail through the fabric, line up the cap over the nail, cover with a cloth and hammer home with a hammer.
The buttons will be fixed and secure in place.
