Known in the trade as apron tape, this herringbone-weave cotton webbing is one of haberdashery’s most versatile workhorses. The distinctive V-pattern weave gives it a professional, traditional finish that looks as good on a handmade apron as it does on a canvas bag or a run of bunting. Soft enough to tie comfortably, strong enough to carry weight — it’s the tape that earns its place in every sewing room.

Stitch flat or fold and topstitch for a clean edge. For apron ties, cut to length and finish the ends with a fold-and-stitch or a dab of fray stop. For bag handles, double the tape and stitch through all layers for maximum strength. Suitable for machine sewing.

Washing Instructions: Machine washable at 40°C. Wash dark colours separately on first wash. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry. Cool iron.

Colour accuracy: Colours are as accurate as screen settings allow. We recommend ordering a sample length if colour matching is critical to your project.
